Kihei Charter requires all students to have an Advisory class. It typically meets twice a week on Zoom. While it is a mandatory class, it does keep me engaged with my community and gets me thinking about my future in the world. The class has frequent discussions on the essentials for college application, as well as general advice for people my age from those just older than us. It also improve my Civic Literacy and Engagement by giving me opportunities to volunteer for community service and internships. I am currently planning on applying to such an internship for environmental science. This class is not only keeping me engaged in the here and now, but helping to prepare me for my future.
