For these English assignments, I had to create Autobiography Open Entries on a weekly basis for three weeks. The entries could have been essentially anything, as long as they fit within the requirements of that they described me and took at least an hour to make. My first was a simple Python 3 program that asked questions and had responses to specific answers. My second was a sonnet. My third was not open, and I was required to write letter to my future graduating senior self. In this project, I have demonstrated application of the third 21st Century Skill, Thinking and Problem Solving, by coming up with ideas for and creating the entries. I am proud with the creativity I showed with my entries, as I feel that coming up with unique ideas and executing those ideas is what helps set people apart, especially professionally. This helped me to improve my thinking and problem solving skills by helping me to imagine the final products of my ideas, as well as giving me the ability to recognize the path to follow to bring ideas to life. That was the most difficult part of this assignment; comparing ideas without concrete pieces of work. If I were to redo this assignment, I would be at lot faster in comparing assignments. I would've also concentrated more on the final products, especially in the third entry, where I would have focused on better penmanship. I have had other assignments that have given me large amounts of freedom with minimal restrictions, but I feel this best demonstrated and taught me this skill. I will certainly be able to apply this to future assignments, even if they don't necessarily give me as much freedom.
